Step By Step

  • Animation Using Motion Tweening.

We can create 2D animations in Flash MX. 2D animation is a sequence of  Vector images. Vector images are resolution Independent. We can create simple animations in using a process known as tweening. Tweening is short  for "in between" and refers to filling in the frames between two keyframes so that a graphic display in the first keyframe change into the graphic display in the second keyframe .In this sample, a car is made pass along a street using "Motion Tweening".
  • Open FILE Menu
  • Click the option NEW
  • A NEW DIALOG Box will open

  • In the Dialog Box, Select the option FLASH DOCUMENT and click O.K.
  • Flash work area will open with layers.
  • Now let us start drawing using the layers. Select the first frame of the first layer. right click the frame and select the option INSERT KEYFRAME. now that frame turns black. It allows you to create and edit anyone inside the Stage. If you forget to insert a keyframe, and try to draw anything inside the Stage, then you will be warned by a dialog box saying "There is no current frame to draw into". This denoted by a symbol consisting of a Pencil and a circle.
  • Draw a Background and a road with Platforms and Stop Posts in Separate layers and name them as Background and Road respectively. Then create a Building in 3d's Max or draw a building in Corel Draw or Illustrator and import it to flash. Add another layer and name it as "Buildings" and place the image on the stage.

  • Add another layer and draw a signal and place above the road background.

  • Add Guide layer to create a patch for the car to move naturally. This layer should be placed below the layer Signal, because the path will overlap the Signal and it will make the Car move above the Signal.

  • Add another layer and name it as Car. Select the first frame, right click and select the option Insert Keyframe and draw a Car and place it on the starting point of the path.

  • Insert a keyframe at the 15th frame and place the Car at the end of the path. Now select the Start and End frames by holding Shift. right click the selection and select CREATE MOTION TWEEN.
  • Now the Car starts moving along the path.
  • You can draw Buildings, trees and whatever things you want to draw along the side of the path.
